Jammu,Feb 10: One day constitutional awareness programme was held in PM Shri School GHS Sohanjana under the able guidance of Head of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum and HEADMASTER Sh Ganesh Khajuria as per the guidelines of PM Shri initiative for the Schools.

CEO Jammu Sh Jagdeep Kumar Padha was the Chief guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by DEPO Jammu Sh. Tarlochan Singh Baloria. Ex-Sarpanch Sh Balbir Singh Manhas and Numberdar were also invited as special guests. The local public was also invited.

The programme was started by reciting Ganesh vandana after lightening of the lamp. A welcome address and the report card of the PM Shri school was presented by Smt Manmohan Kour, Master of the school.
Various cultural items were displayed by the students. A Nukkad natak displaying our fundamental rights and duties of the Indian Constitution were performed by the students of middle classes .

A folk dance specifically JAGGO was presented by the girls of higher classes in the traditional beautiful attire.Sh Sanjeev Singh Jamwal Advocate Jammu High Court was the special invitee who had delivered the guest lecture on the fundamental rights and duties of the citizens of India. He threw light on all the three organs of the Government viz Legislature, Judiciary and Executive.
Sh Ganesh Khajuria Headmaster while speaking on the occasion put certain demands for facelifting of the school before the Chief Education Officer, Jammu for the welfare of the students.


Sh Jagdeep Kumar Padha Worthy CEO JAMMU on the occasion appreciated the efforts of Sh Ganesh Khajuria Headmaster of the School who took initiative in celebrating the constitutional day and said these type of programmes will definitely inculcate the values of rights and duties among the students. He also emphasized the teaching community and the general public to inculcate the moral values among the younger generations as they are the future of the nation. He also assured his full cooperation for the demands made by Sh Ganesh Khajuria for the development of school which is for the welfare of students.
Thereafter, the Prizes were distributed among the participants by the Chief Education Officer, Jammu. Lunch was also organised for all the students ,staff and the guests.
The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks.
