Chandigarh: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “Main Bhi Chowkidar” (I am a watchman too) campaign on social media, local BJP leaders, including MP Kirron Kher and city party president Sanjay Tandon, has on Sunday changed the handle name of their Twitter account to “Chowkidar Kirron Kher” and “Chowkidar Sanjay Tandon”.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled a unique campaign “Main Bhi Chowkidar” video trying to take potshots at Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his personal attack against him.
Kher, in her message posted with a picture on the twitter, said: “Main Maa hu, Behen hu, Pyar hu. Par rakshashon ke liye sher pe savaar hu, main ‘Bhi Chowkidar Hu’.”
200 attend “coffee with Kirron”
Over 200 people interacted with MP Kirron Kher at “coffee with Kirron” in Sector 40 here on Sunday. The event was hosted by women of the area. People shared their problems with the MP and expressed satisfaction over the work done in the past 5 years. Kher has started the programme to reach the maximum number of the people. Residents raised various issues and problems before the MP. Kher promised to solve the problems. She also attended “Holi milan samaroh” in Sector 46.
