RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday hit out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after Bollywood actor Sunny Leone’s namesake featured among the toppers list in Bihar government’s recruitment exam.
Tejashwi tweeted: “The state government followed a policy of “farzi topper banao, farzi naukri pao (make fake toppers, get fake job).”

The Bihar Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) recently invited applications for the post of junior engineer and it uploaded the provisional merit list on its website on Wednesday, which bizarrely showed Sunny Leone as the topper.
If the list of candidates who had applied for about 200 posts, uploaded on the website of Public Health Engineering Departments website, is to be believed the name of the Canadian-born film actor figures as the top ranker.
A girl with the same Sunny Leone, father’s name Leona Leone and date of birth as May 13, 1991, is shown as the topper with 98.5 points in her diploma of engineering.
Bihar PHED had invited applications for the post of junior engineer (civil) between January 15 to 31, based on the marks obtained in diploma in engineering.
However, there is no confirmation that the candidate is genuine or somebody just filled up the online form out of sheer fun.
The candidate at number third on the list also appears to be fictional as it has the name bvcxzbnnb.
When the matter was brought to the notice of PHED minister Vinod Narayan Jha, he hastened to clarify this is not the final list. Those whose names figure will have to undergo a screening process which would include verification of their documents and certificates.
The department’s special secretary Satish Chandra Mishra responded with a mix of bemusement and bewilderment and said I do not know who is Sunny Leone.
But it does sound a name that might have been uploaded on the website by way of mischief. We will get it sorted out.
Unlike the 38-year-old celebrity, who was born to Sikh parents settled in Ontario and started off as a porn star taking up her onscreen name, her namesake in the list has been described as a female belonging to the general (unreserved) category.
She is said to have scored 98.5 points, 73.5 of these awarded on account of her education and the rest under the head experience.
The list of about 18.000 duly registered candidates has more bizarreness to offer. The third ranker an EBC (Extremely Backward Classes) candidate has been called bvcxzbnnb and his father is mggvghhnnnnn names which read like computer passwords.
Also, the second ranking Nirmal Chakraborty’s father is, oddly, called Om Puri. —With PTI
