Chandigarh reports another coronavirus case; UT tally rises to 358

Chandigarh, June 16: Chandigarh on Tuesday reported one new case of coronavirus, taking the union territory’s case tally to 358.

A 35-year-old man, a resident of Sector 25, Chandigarh tested positive for COVID-19. With this, the total number of active cases in the city has risen to 51.

On Monday, the city saw its sixth death linked to COVID. A 60-year-old man from Bapu Dham Colony, who was admitted to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16, posthumously tested positive for the disease. Two cases each were reported from Khuda Jassu and Bapu Dham and one from Sector 52.
