Oath Ceremonies Organised Across Jammu Division By DSEJ

Jammu: Directorate Of School Education Jammu celebrated the 71st Constitution Day by organising ‘Preamble Reading and Oath Ceremonies’, across all the districts of Jammu division to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of the Founding Fathers of the Constitution in nation building.

Students and staff members of all the schools of Jammu region participated in the event to raise awareness about the Indian Constitution and took oath by reading out the Preamble and pledged to uphold the the Constitution of India with utmost dedication, sincerity and fervour . 

The main event was held at the Directorate of School Education Jammu head office where Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu presided over the ceremony. She emphasized the importance of the Constitution and its Preamble by asking everyone to pause a bit to ponder upon ones life, his day to day routine and activities and it is only then that one comes to realise about it all being reflected in the Constitution, of which preamble is not only the crux but also the heart.
One should think about the condition of life and liberty of an individual before the adoption of the constitution and the distance we have covered after its adoption to comprehend the importance and mirror the change it has brought in the lives of the citizens of India, she added.

Similar oath ceremonies were held in schools and offices across all the 10 districts of Jammu division, where students, teachers and other staff members joined in physically as well as through online mode under the guidance of chief education officers of respective districts.
