Ashok Urges Government To Put Safety Mechanisms In Place Start With Landslide Prone Areas

RAMBA: According to the press note issued by office of Ashok kumar Former MLA from Ramban constituency, the veteran leader has urged the Central Government and Lt. Governor of J and K to look into the matter that several people have lost their life and a host of villages of Ramban District that are situated alongside National Highway number 44 have seen severe damages caused by the heavy landslides which are a result of the unplanned and unscientific construction going on on Highway number NH 44 by Gammon and other contractor. Proper safety have not been taken by the said company and the central and UT Government should ensure that precautionary measures like tunnels etc should be used to save the lives and property of the inhabitants.

In the press release, Mr. Ashok has accused that “several people are dead and several villages have been completely destroyed” due to the negligent manner of ” cutting of NH 44″.
