Elaborate security arrangements have been made by the police this festive season with close to 925 police personnel stationed in the city to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.
DSP Pawan Kumar said 925 police personnel, including six DSPs and 22 inspectors, had been deputed in the city. “Special nakas have been set up to keep a check on anti-social elements,” he said.
The police said the security arrangements would be in place till Diwali. Besides, staff have also been deputed in all busy markets to regulate traffic. Vans will also patrol the city to tow away vehicles parked in no-parking areas. People can use parking space in government schools and community centres.
